We have several opportunities for work outside of the scope of typical clinical work for our team of therapists, including workshops, writing, events, and more. In many cases, we receive requests from community partners or organizations with little to no budget. In other instances, there is a clear budget and honoraria provided. In any case, we want to ensure our team is compensated fairly wherever possible.

Workshops and Events

Our workshops and events offer a diverse array of educational opportunities, covering various topics and formats tailored to meet the needs of participants and partners alike. These events are often requested by partner organizations, who recognize the value of the knowledge and expertise our clinicians bring.

We prioritize thorough preparation, ensuring that each event and presentation is accurately planned and delivered with excellence. Additionally, we remain flexible and responsive to the unique requirements of each workshop or event, collaborating closely with clinicians to develop customized programs when necessary. In doing so, we contribute to the growth and enrichment of our community while also spreading awareness and understanding within the Muslim community

Compensation Model

For events where our community partners or requesters have no budget, we offer compensation to our clinicians at a rate of $50 per hour. If clinicians prefer not to receive compensation for such events, we ask them to inform us accordingly. When an honorarium or fee is provided by the requester, we compensate our clinicians at a rate of $65 per hour. However, for substantial honorariums of $500 or more, we adopt a 50:50 rate split.

Marketing Initiatives

Social Media

At Ruh, collaboration with therapists extends beyond client sessions to the realm of social media and blog content creation. Our therapists play an integral role in shaping our online presence and disseminating valuable mental health resources to our community. For therapists who are passionate about sharing their expertise and insights, there's an opportunity to contribute to the creation of educational content for our social media channels. This may involve collaborating on short videos, infographics, or written posts covering common mental health concerns, coping strategies, or psychoeducational topics.

Educational content provides valuable information and resources. Through infographics, videos, and articles, we can address common mental health concerns, offer coping strategies, and promote overall well-being. By sharing educational content, we empower Muslims to take proactive steps toward improving their mental health.

Video Production

Those with a flair for video creation can collaborate on producing short educational videos for our social media platforms. These videos may cover a range of topics, from mindfulness exercises and stress management techniques to tips for improving mental well-being. By sharing their knowledge in a visually engaging format, therapists can connect with our audience and enhance our outreach efforts.

Compensation Model

  • We can compensate at a rate of $25/hour for these types of initiatives unless an external partner offers a higher rate for specific initiatives.

  • Content days: To help familiarize yourself with the community and promote you as a therapist, all of our clinicians are asked to do one content day per year involving script preparation, filming, recording, etc. The rate of compensation for this is $500/content day.

Blog Contributions

Therapists who enjoy writing and wish to share their perspectives can contribute to our blog by submitting articles on various mental health topics. Whether it's a personal reflection, a case study, or an in-depth analysis of a therapeutic approach, interested therapists can offer valuable content to our readers, expand their professional network, and contribute to our mission of promoting mental health awareness and education.

Compensation Model

  • $50/blog (review and polish a pre-written draft)

  • $100/blog (write a full blog from start to finish)

The Collaborative Process

Participating in content creation involves a collaborative process between interested therapists and our marketing team. Therapists may be invited to join brainstorming sessions, content planning meetings, and script development for videos or blog posts. By working together, therapists and our marketing team can ensure that content is aligned with our brand voice, mission, and values, while also meeting the needs and interests of our audience.

Feedback and Iteration

Therapists who opt to contribute to content creation are encouraged to provide input, suggestions, and feedback on content drafts, video scripts, or blog outlines. This feedback loop ensures that content is accurate, relevant, and effective in addressing the needs of our audience. By sharing their perspectives and insights, therapists contribute to the refinement and improvement of our content, ultimately enhancing its impact.

Brand Consistency

Maintaining brand consistency across all social media platforms is important for reinforcing our brand identity and values. By ensuring consistency in logos, colors, and messaging, we create a cohesive and recognizable brand presence. Consistent branding helps us build trust and credibility with our audience.
