Ruh Care's Calendar uses time zones to log and record your and your client's actions. This helps streamline operations like booking appointments, sending confirmation and reminder emails, and managing your schedule.
Ruh Care automatically detects changes in both your and your client's time zones. However, you can manually set a time zone for your Ruh Care account if needed.
Change Your Time Zone Settings
To change your preferred time zone, go to Settings > Personal. Type in the search box to find your preferred time zone, or browse the list of options. Once you choose a time zone, Ruh Care will show you the current time in that time zone so you can confirm your selection.
Your time zone affects your appointment times and the times shown in reports. Your clients have their time zone settings, so each person sees times in their appropriate time zone. By default, Ruh Care uses the time zone of your computer or device.
How Ruh Care Determines Your Time Zone
Ruh Care automatically detects your time zone based on your device's settings. We store the data in UTC and display it according to the provider's selected time zone or your device's settings.

There is a hierarchy of how Ruh Care sets the timezone in which your client receives texts, reminders, and other information related to their work with you:
If your client has set their own timezone, that will show up
If your client has not set a timezone, your timezone as the provider will show up
If you / your clients have not set up a timezone, then by default UTC will be shown in the UI, while EST will be shown in our emails. In general, this last step should rarely occur.
View Calendar in Different Time Zones
Ruh Care allows organization members to easily manage and understand the schedules of team members in different time zones.
To adjust your calendar view to another time zone, click on the time zone tab under Calendar.
Appointments and availability will automatically update to match the selected time zone.
Adjust Time Zone When Scheduling Appointments
You can use time zones to log and track the actions of you and your clients. When adding a new appointment to your schedule, you'll see a time zone field. It will default to your local time zone, but you can change it by clicking the dropdown menu.
Adjust Timezone When Setting Availability
When adding one-time or recurring availability to a schedule, a timezone field will appear. The timezone will default to the local timezone for the person setting the availability but can be adjusted by clicking the drop-down.
Quick Tips
Ruh Care will automatically convert dates and times between you and the other person, there is no need to discuss time differences with clients.
Ruh Care adjusts appointments according to each user's time zone and Daylight-Saving Time, keeping provider-client schedules in sync despite differences.
