Set your default availability to let clients book sessions with you and to allow other team members in Ruh to view when you're available. This saves time, automatically syncs with your calendar, and enables clients to book through their portals.
For group appointments, clients cannot self-book group sessions based on general availability. The therapist must add group appointments directly to the calendar for clients to enroll.
One-Time vs Recurring Availability
Ruh Care's calendar lets you set up two types of availability for clients to book appointments with you. This shows clients when they can schedule sessions with you, but it doesn't limit you from booking outside these times when scheduling for clients.
One-Time Availability: Create time blocks for specific dates and times that do not repeat in future weeks.
Recurring Availability: Set time blocks for each day of the week that automatically repeat on your calendar unless altered by an external calendar sync or a manual adjustment.
To manage your availability, go to Calendar > Availability (tab on the top-left of your calendar page).
Availability by Appointment Type
To set up your availability on Ruh Care's Calendar, you have to do so by choosing the appointment type for each slot.
For example, if you want to take intro calls on Monday mornings, you set that up via Availability by Appointment Type. Once this has been enabled on your account, you will be able to adjust your Weekly Availability based on the Appointment Type you have selected.
Navigate to Calendar > Availability
A side panel will appear, prompting you to complete the availability details
From the drop-down Appointment Type, select which appointment type you would like to set availability for
Repeat for the other appointment type(s) if you wish availability to be available for them as well.
Note: You must add availability for each appointment type if you would like them to be bookable by clients.
View Availability for All Appointment Types
You can create availability for each appointment type.
From the Calendar view, the option to select "ALL" will now appear in the side filter for Appointment Types. This will then display all availabilities added for every appointment type. Ruh Care will automatically adjust the view to display multiple scheduled availabilities if there is any overlap.
Set & Adjust Recurring Availability
Set your default availability of when you'd like clients to be able to schedule with you.
To manage your recurring availability, navigate to Calendar > Availability (tab on the top-left of your calendar page).
Check that Show "Repeating Availability" is selected from the side panel.
Click on the day of the week you'd like to add recurring availability. The Edit Availability side panel will appear.
Check the box "Weekly Availability"

Add availability
You'll now see your availability displayed on your calendar (from the Availability tab). If preferred, an end date can be set for recurring availability.
Notes:
You can adjust or delete your availability by clicking on the Availability > Edit
If you have availability by appointment type/location enabled, you will want to set your availability for each appointment type.
Once these openings are set up, clients can book sessions with you at these times.
Set & Adjust One-Time Availability
To manage your one-time availability, navigate to Calendar > Availability (tab on the top-left of your calendar page).
Check that Show "One-Time Availability" is selected from the side panel.
By default, your availability calendar displays the current week. You can adjust the week by toggling over on the arrows.
Click into your calendar on the day you would like to add availability.
Confirm the start date (Note: you can schedule availability to start in the future)
Adjust the Start Time & End Time
Save
You'll now see your availability displayed on your calendar (from the Availability tab).
You can adjust or delete your availability by clicking on the Availability > Edit
Block Time (Out of Office)
If you would like to prevent clients from booking with you on a one-off basis, you can block off availability on a one-time basis.
If you have recurring availability set on your calendar, you'll need to add "Blocked Time" for the days/times that you'll be out of the office (as opposed to removing your recurring availability).
No Availability
If you do not have availability set for an appointment clients will be notified of this through the appointment booking process.
